Do I remember Ken Wharram’s break away goal in the 3rd period of the 6th game of the 1961 Stanley Cup Finals, which sealed the deal against Gordie Howe and the rest of the Detroit Red Wings? Nah, I can’t say I recall the moment. What I do remember is the smoke, the smoke that choked the air of the “Old Barn”, smoke so thick a fan could hardly see across the ice to the opposite side of the first mezzanine. It’s funny, what we take from and the memories that we hold ever lasting from various moments that touch us during the course our lives. Will I remember Dustin Byfuglien’s overtime closing 7th goal during the 4th game of the 2010 Conference finals against the San Jose Sharks? Nah, probably not but I might remember Byfuglien’s King Kong like, both arms spread in triumph glide along the glass and that seemingly endless roar that left me with ears still ringing as I made my way for home one very late night last night. Will I remember the hook-set on this one gargantuan grotesquely obese redear sunfish brought to hand this early morning? I can’t say. I guess what I would rather, is that I might remember the feeling of how it all feels right here, right now, at this moment. Plain and simply; It feels oh so good! The slides take me back to memories as a child. My brothers and I had a slide viewer thingy in which you put theses round disks in and clicked for each picture. The pictures were of far away beautiful places and and exotic species.
I just had a memory of Kieth Magnuson in the box. Seems he spent alot of time there.
Some day I may fish for those exotics. Thanks

Was called a Vu-Master Mike!
And maybe Reggie Fleming spent more time in jail.

Yo Bill, a lady that lovely is certainly deserving of your usual fine quality photographic skills. In fact, she is worthy of much more than wallet size exposure. In admiration of her attributes, please accept the following adaptations with my compliments. Nicely done.............murph810 ( I gotta learn how to do a slideshow)

Great report and pics!
I see now why you use your boat underwater. Seeing the fish in their element, just can't beat those pics.....Although Murph's pics are a close second!
Nicely done Gents.

Post of the Year? i may be too new at this and it may be too early in the year but this post gets my vote. The pictures, the story telling, the reminiscing of the old smoky Chicago Stadium. This post had it all.
