It looks like the carp are starting to get ready for the cold weather. In the past few weeks the action has been pretty fast, for the first time ever I had fish hooked up on both my rods at the same time. Most of the fish have been in the 4-7lb range, but there were a few big ones tossed into the mix. I got my biggest one of the year on Thursday at 17.3lbs, and I lost another one about the same size. As always, corn on a hair rig is what I've been catching them on. Lately I've been adding a piece fake pop up corn. When the fish picks up the bait, the buoyancy of the pop up corn allows the hook to get sucked a little bit deeper into the fish's mouth resulting in better hookholds.

Oh wow, I completely forgot about that. Yeah, that was pretty gross. But then there was the one that was bleeding from everywhere on its body, I don't know why I even touched that one...
