Took advantage of the amazing weather on Saturday to get out and to some carp fishing. Only got one fish, but it felt good to hear the line screaming off the reel when he picked my bait up. He wasn't that big so I didn't bother getting an exact weight but he was around the 5lb mark.

Nice color on it. What do you do with them?

Conner do you ever float a slip bobber out there with a minnow or nightcrawler just for fun to see what other kind of fish are out there? ive had luck catching largemouth, bullhead, white bass and catfish. Heard of walleye and pike being caught also, and a stray trout from time to time.

I've caught some really nice sized bluegills and bullheads out of there, but that was over at my old spot. I'll definitely try that once things start to warm up. This spot is so deep though so I don't know how well a float setup will work out unless the fish are suspending. I'll figure something out I'm sure.
