Finally found a new place to carp fish the canal, only problem with this place is that I'm about 7 feet above the water. I could get my net down into the water if I bent down as much as I could but my back didn't exactly like that idea so I'm gonna have to get a longer net before I go back. I fished this spot once before but some guy in a boat started yelling at me, I don't know what he said but he didn't sound happy. No boats today luckily, probably due to the colder weather. It took me a few hours to get a bite. At first I got a few tugs from little fish that just stole my bait, but then I started to see some carp jumping so I assumed a school was moving into the area. Not long after I got a screaming run. After a good fight (I forgot how hard these things fight) I just barely got him into the net. He weighed in at 11lbs 2oz. After that net job my back was killing me (and still is as I'm typing this) so I decided to end the day on a high note and go home.
