Hit the river at LaSalle St. I fished Friday from about 4pm to 5pm. Caught 1 small bluegill. I had 3 nice smallies follow but not hit. (Water is pretty clear so you can see almost everything.) It was overcast.

Hit the river again today and did not see as many fish as I saw on Friday. I had several small panfish follow but did not bite. Fished around 11:30 to 12:30 on mu lunch break.

I think if I try before work in the morning or after work I will have better success. They are there, just need to figure out how to get them to bite.

Can anyone give me any information on what the 22 species of fish that were killed during the recent HUNT for the elusive Asian Carp. I had read that 110,000 pounds of fish were killed and once again no Asian Carp. Also does this poisoning affect any other part of the river system?
