I was driving by Lincoin and saw some guys fishing the Chicago River Just before McCormick Blvd. Does anyone know what I can target out there now. Are there any Northerns in there. Are there any warm water discharge's that would draw fish in. Any help thanks.

Yeah that spot is good all year round. Try your luck at the discharge at the north shore channel. This spot is good for almost every species. Right now mostly panfish or carp and in the spring almost everything else. Don't really know if there are any northerns around that area though. You never know the Chicago river is full of surprises.

If u want northerns u can always try the warm water discharge off madison street in burr ridge . I've seen some huge large mouthes and northerns come out of there. {desplaines river}

When I first moved to Evanston in '93 I talked to the Illinois EPA about the water quality. I was told that it has "secondary contaminants" when asked to clarify she said "human waste". My toilet seems to be connected to that water. I was told not to fish there, if I did I was to avoid touching the water and do not eat the fish.
