Greetings Everyone,

For anyone interested, I Co-Captain on a charter out of Montrose Harbor. We are currently looking for a first mate to compliment the crew on those days when my schedule does not allow me to make trips. We run only one-six hour trip a day, and never run trips on Saturdays. Starting times vary depending on customer requests. Some trips may on occasion, run longer than six hours but only on a clients request, or at our discretion.

Duties for this position are:
Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time to prepare for trip
Remain onboard post trip to secure equipment, clean up, etc.
Assist in fueling boat on occasion post trip
Assist customers as needed
Perform basic maintenance as may be needed based on qualifications
Prepare all fishing equipment for trips, set lines, maintain and store equipment post trip
Clean both exterior cockpit area and interior cabin areas as needed pre/post trip
Remove trash post trip, prepare for next trip as required.

A working knowledge of boat and its basic systems include line handling, docking etc. is preferred
Even tempered personality, good with people, able to communicate and take direction
Reliable, trustworthy, on-time and capable of working in all weather conditions
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Patient, open minded and an ability to learn new techniques
Preferred working knowledge of rod/reel setups, down rigger fishing, knot tying, and basic trolling techniques associated with Salmon fishing
Able to net fish effectively
Capable of cleaning/fileting fish effectively
Other tasks as may be required
Experience is preferred, but will train the right person.
Consumption of alcohol during trips is strictly forbidden. Use, or possession of drugs is strictly forbidden by crew onboard vessel at anytime.

Interested parties should also have, or be willing to be enrolled in a random drug testing program at their expense. A TWIC card is preferred. Individuals should also possess appropriate rainwear, deck boots or comparable footwear for boating for their own comfort. Opportunities exists for additional duties on a second vessel when the need arises.
