Anyone get out in the creeks lately? How far west do the steel head travel in the little cal ?

I spoke to someone a week ago who went 3 for 3 on the Cal. With the rain and melt off we just had, I would assume it is even better now. I never fished far into the Little Cal, but if there is good flow, thos esteelies will go a long way. If you find good holes and lay downs, I would keep fishing them. Once you learn the area, the fish hold in the same spots year after year as long as there has not been major changes in the creek flow. That is one of the great things about fishing the creeks, is that they are alway new holding areas being made, but there are some that are true honey holes year after year.

They travel East, up past Chesterton. Salt flows to the East up to Valpo.
